I'm back to getting 72-byte-output from "foo2hp2600-wrapper -c print.ps > xxx.prn" ... but when I go to ghostscript directly, running your sample command from http://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=690287 , I get a big file, not 0-byte like that defect says. So I'm not sure what else is in the pipeline that may be broken.

When running "foo2hp2600-wrapper -c testpage.ps > xxx.prn" on Gentoo, I end up with a 72-byte file. It obviously doesn't print the test page. If I remove the -c, then xxx.prn gets to 62384 bytes, and, though I didn't test this one, I've sent a previous non-colour page to the printer using netcat since having this problem. I'm not sure where the issue would
