Thanks for confirming. I don't know much about ICC(, but do realize they're necessary for printing photographs, etc). I do have to use quality=draft mode for printing also for preventing my hp2600n from using *way* too much toner for both monochrome & color. Also, setting to Bits Per Plane to "1 BPP" instead of "2 BPP" for color helps. Using "2 BPP" for color, creates printouts with bleeding colors also. (*Note: colors look extremely similar, if not the same when using 1BPP or 2BPP now... quite an improvement.) So. Two things. 1) Set to Print Quality to "Draft Mode" for both Monochrome & Color pr

For some reason, my printouts look extremely dark. Especially when compared to MS Window's printouts. When I use Linux, the printouts look as if the printer is just dumping toner. Can somebody please explain the foo2hp -m option... the man file doesn't go into depth on explaining what the "-m" or "media type" does besides the fact it accepts integers from 0-256? Thanks for the previously posted tips on making envelopes using oowriter. So what is protocol when printing to different sized media. One must, both, specify to cups the media size (ie. Envelope #10) and specify the margins in their word processor? Is there a media size for 7x5 envelopes. (Can't remember if this is also considered A9 sized envelopes.) What about other custom sized
