Crashing CP1025nw [solved, don't run unpatched gcc 4.7.2]

Hi.

I've been trying to feed this printer with a ZJS file, but it crashes
every time, no matter if it's through the device node or the
network.

I've tried converting different files, and even with different
versions of foo2zjs (anyway, right now I'm using the latest one,
vanilla).

My printer is using the 20110826 firmware.

Is it a known issue?

$ cd foo2zjs

$ foo2zjs-wrapper -P -z3 -L0 -X16 testpage.ps > xxx.prn

$ ll xxx.prn
-rw-rw-r--. 1 rick rick 103047 Aug  7 06:14 xxx.prn

What does that say???

Okay, it does differ from yours...

$ foo2zjs-wrapper -P -z3 -L0 -X16 testpage.ps >test.prn
$ ls -l test.prn
-rw-r--r-- 1 ismael users 99235 Aug 7 16:16 test.prn

So, it didn't crash.

Print it, network...

$ nc 192.168.xxx.yyy 9100 < xxx.prn

Or USB....

# cp xxx.prn /dev/usb/lp0

No, no, I mean it crashes the printer. It stops responding completely, sometimes it lits the warning led, sometimes it doesn't even do that.

Printed fine two times on Fedora 19.

Maybe you have a hardware problem...

Would you mind to send me a test stream to send to the printer? Just in case something is wrong with my build...

HPLIP works fine via USB, but I'm not happy with the non-free plugin.

It did print that file (B&W, BTW).

Perhaps GCC somehow "optimized" something wrong. I've compiled it with 4.7.2, maybe I should try with an older/newer GCC.

I'm going to try with GCC 4.6.3. Lets see what happens...

Rick, I have a patch for simplifying the Makefile; should I email it to you?

Seems to be an issue with that specific version of GCC, same sources compiled with other versions work fine...
