hotplug doesn't work in Fedora-17 (Beefy Miracle) [solved]

I decided to migrate from Fedora 15 to 17. Foo2zjs worked pretty well on F15 but it will no longer be supported soon. I installed Foo2zjs for my HP1020 today hoping to get the same smooth performance. Everything seems to work except when I switch the printer off and on ... firmware is not uploaded to the device

manually uploading it works well.
(cat /usr/share/foo2zjs/firmware/sihp1020.dl > /dev/usb/lp0) ... worked

What now? This machine is more or less a remote machine ... walking through the corridors of the office to run the above command doesn't make sense. (Unless, of course, I have to use ssh ... but I'd prefer a normal 'on and off' workability)

Your advice?

Please redownload, make, make install, make install-hotplug, etc. It was a gratitious change on the part of Fedora.

I suspected so. I reported anyway because F17 is due in two weeks. It won't be nice if it hits the world with such bugs. thanks
