dbus problem related to foo2zjs
Date: September 16, 2010 06:09PM
I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit on an amd machine. I've got a P1102w that I want to run in usb mode. I have first deleted the ubuntu foo2zjs package, and then compiled the drivers from source as per the web page. When I get to the part about starting the Ubuntu system-config-printer I get three of the following messages, and then the GUI comes up, but shows nothing.
(system-config-printer.py:2396): GVFS-RemoteVolumeMonitor-WARNING **: cannot connect to the session bus: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
Probably isn't a problem with the foo2zjs drivers, but I could use some help if anyone knows what's going on here.
