hp launch new printer HP LaserJet Pro P1102 Printer recently. i perform lots of R&D for the HP LaserJet Pro P1102 Printer drivers for redhat 9 and RHEL 5.4 OS, but i am not success-ed to find the drivers.

i urgently need the drivers for this printer model. i configure successfully foo2xqx drivers for hp p1005 printer,foo2xqx have ppd file for hp p1005 but there is no ppd file for HP LaserJet Pro P1102 Printer.I face lots of problem for HP Laser Jet Pro P1102 Printer. kindly provide me the drivers and firmware for HP Laser Jet Pro P1102 Printer.i shall be very thankful to you.

Also, do this:

# usb_printerid /dev/usb/lp0

And report the results.

i re download foo2zjs and install driver on my system for HP Laser Jet Pro P1102 Printer. My printer is working successfully on red hat 9 and RHEL 5.4 now :)

And report the results

Introduces HP LaserJet Pro P1102w

hello rick!


i just face one little problem during printing. HP Laser Jet Pro P1102 prints successfully but i just want to condensed the font size or line size.

i set the cpi (character per inch) and lpi (line per inch) parameters but printer still prints with default setting.

Note: i send the print through lp command.

CPI/LPI is only used with plain text. Not Postscript. Use what ever created it, i.e. OpenOffice, etc. Or, use enscript/a2ps/etc. for plain text:

$ yum install enscript

$ enscript -p- --margins=40:40 -2 -E -f Courier7 -r -G plaintext.txt | lpr
