I tried to print using your driver but it didn't work. I mean I checked dmesg, /var/log/cups/error_log and found nothing obvious.
I see no error message but nothing is printed.
That said, in dmesg, I see "removed" event right after I try to print a test page. Should I worry?
When I connect the usb cable:
[ 7876.852371] usb 8-1: new high-speed USB device number 15 using ehci-pci
[ 7877.032092] usb 8-1: New USB device found, idVendor=132b, idProduct=208b
[ 7877.032100] usb 8-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
[ 7877.032105] usb 8-1: Product: KONICA MINOLTA magicolor 1680MF scan
[ 7877.032109] usb 8-1: Manufacturer: KONICA MINOLTA
[ 7877.032113] usb 8-1: SerialNumber: 23277

Then, I try to print test page and I get:
[ 7885.431314] usblp0: removed
A few second later, the printer seems to be detected again:
[ 7893.467211] usblp 8-1:1.1: usblp0: USB Bidirectional printer dev 15 if 1 alt 0 proto 2 vid 0x132B pid 0x208B
here is my cups/error_log during test page printing attempt:
For your information, on windows, sometimes I have to unplug and plug the usb connector in several times before the printer is actually detected.
I installed the printer using driver "foo2zjs/PPD/KONICA_MINOLTA-magicolor_1680MF.ppd" available in your tool (using cups web gui http://localhost:631
and using root). I set the default options to A4 paper size, ICM color mode, and kept other options with default values.
Thanks again for your impressive work!
If you need more details, if I need to turn a debug flag on, please tell me, I'll execute the test again.
thanks a lot,
PS: for your information, my host is a 64 bits debian-8.
