Hi,
I am using the 1600W printer and have installed the latest foo2lava package. My system setup is as follows:
OS: Slackware 13.37
Cups: 1.4.6
Ghostscript: 9.02

Current Printer Settings (but have tried various combinations and other settings): Quality normal. colour graphics & text, resolution 1200x600, size: a4


I have set up 2 printers in cups, one as colour, one in monochrome. When I print to the monochrome one, it works fine however printing to the colour one makes the text all blurry. This is not just colour text but black as well. If you look closely at the print, it looks fuzzy around the edge of the characters, almost as if printed on a low quality inkjet. The monochrome setting works fine though, text is very sharp.

Sorry, I should have mentioned I have tried removing and re-installing the packages/printer and still the same. Printer prints fine in colour over SAMBA from my windows laptop.

You should use:

Color Mode -> Color - use ICM color profile

Halftone Algorithm -> Well Tempered Screens (best)

ICM Color Profile -> km-16* (default)



Works good on Fedora 14.
