Hi,

I'm french user of Linux (Fedora 14) and Samsung CLX-3175 printer. First, thanks for your job ; I have a problem when I print some pages : a black stripe appears at the bottom of pages, sometimes. See picure1. What can I do ?

Secondly, i don't find the ICM color profile for my printer in the list, when I configure in Adobe Reader or Scribus, I think it's called CLP-3175 instead CLX-3175. See picture2.

I have compiled foo2qpdl the 5 decembre 2010 in my PC, I can redo now to test.

Thank you for your attention.

Please put the Postscript (*.ps) source for the doc on the web so I can find it.

All my documents (OpenOffice, PDF, etc.) are concerned. I just make a small test, I find the steps to reproduce :

- open a new OpenOffice Writer document
- add a second page (a third if you want)
- open the print tool (Ctrl+P)
- select a resolution in the preferences box

If you use the resolution :
_ 600x600 dpi -> black stripe appears
_ 1200x600 dpi -> black stripe appears
_ 1200x1200 dpi -> black stripe NOT appears

Note : black stripe never appears on the first page, only from the second page, and on all subsequent pages.

This morning, black stripes appears when I printed this doc : APPEL.pdf

Please put the POSTSCRIPT (*.ps) not the PDF (.pdf) on the web.

I just made this document with Scribus 1.3.9, open it with Okular and printing with 1200x600 : black stripe appears on the second page.

$ lpr -Pclp315 -o media=A4 Document-1.ps
printed fine here in monochrome

CLP-315 is the printer component of CLX-3175.

Ah. Its color!

From the Changelog:
2011-01-09      Rick Richardson <rick.richardson@comcast.net>
        * foo2qpdl-wrapper: use QUALITY=2 instead of QUALITY=wts due to
            a bug in gs (8.71)

Please download, make, make install.

I have updated the driver (download, make, make install) and now the black stripe no longer appears in my documents, with all the three resolutions.

Thank you for your quick response !
