Printer not working... [solved; CUPS problem; Buffalo Linkstation]

I have an Buffalo Linkstation II (arm achitecture) with debian etch (Freelink 2.6.12.6-arm1)
with an Samsung CLP-315 usb printer that in windows works.

I have installed printer with no errors (also with "make install install-hotplug cups" as described in INSTALL notes for Debian)

In printers the printer says this message: Samsung_CLP-310_Series_USB_2 "Printer not connected; will retry in 30 seconds..."

root@LS-GL7D6:~/foo2zjs# lsusb
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 04e8:328e Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

a strange think is that cups, after i delete printer, the printer will be available on boht ports!

error log after last "make uninstall", reinstall, delete and re-add printer...

{snipped. don't read CUPS logs}

an help will be fantastic!

i don't have /dev/usb/lp0... i have /dev/usblp0

root@LS-GL7D6:~/foo2zjs# usb_printerid /dev/usblp0
GET_DEVICE_ID string:
MFG:Samsung;CMD:SPLC;MDL:CLP-310 Series;CLS:PRINTER;STATUS:BUSY;

both printers usblp0 and usblp1 say the same..

it seems strange, i tried to do:

echo "hello" > /dev/usblp0

printer activates and stars to blink, then continues blinking for 5 minutes without printing.
Testing from cups will not activate printer

tnx, for answer!

Use:
usb:/dev/usblp0
for the URI, then.

Do this:
# cd foo2zjs
# foo2qpdl-wrapper -z2 testpage.ps > xxx.prn
# cp xxx.prn /dev/usplp0
What does that say?

It is a CUPS problem, then. Not a foo2qpdl problem. Check with your distro.

in /var/log/messages i can see that cups try to do

foo2qpdl -r1200x600 -g10200x6600 -p0 -m0 -n1 -d1 -s1 -z2  -u 150x100 -l 150x100

with no errors..

if i try to do

foo2qpdl -r1200x600 -g10200x6600 -p0 -m0 -n1 -d1 -s1 -z2  -u 150x100 -l 150x100  > yyy.prn

operation will not end... may be a problem?

$ man foo2qpdl

It is a *CUPS problem*. Not a foo2qpdl problem. Check with your distro.
