CP 1215 Doesn't Print Color [Mac OSX; solved: don't use Camino]

I've just installed the foo2hp driver for Mac OSX in my second computer, a desktop and a Macbook, and I'm having the same problem with each install. No color. When I go to "Set Printer Options" in CUPS, I select "Color" in "Color Mode", hit "Set Printer Options", do a test page, and it's monochrome. Going back to the "Set Printer Options" shows it' re-selected itself to "Monochrome". Both units are running OSX 10.5.8, and I used the latest version of ghostscript (9.0.2). What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Firefox -> Print ->

Works here.

Note "-c" means color.

Huh....

I've never seen a printer window like that. Mine are always very basic, giving no more than "Printer", "Preset", and the four buttons "PDF", "Preview", "Cancel" and "Print".

Clearly I'm missing -c here:

The other problem I've just noticed is that completed jobs will not remove themselves from the spooler; I must manually cancel them before the next job will begin.

You should have printers named "CP1215 mono" and "CP1215 color" or some such.

Firefox -> Print -> Printer: |...CP1215| |<arrow>| <- Click Here (Steve Jobs has no clue)!!!!!

From INSTALL.osx:
6b) CUPS UNIX Printing System
    Browse to:
        http://foo2zjs.rkkda.com/cups/

Then surf to: http://localhost:631 and follow the CUPS instructions.

In particular, you can set up Color and other things.

Set Printer Options -> Color Mode -> Color

OK, so I finally had some time to play around with this a little yesterday. One thing I noticed is that all of the set-up screen shots and commands used either Firefox or Safari as the browser. I use Camino. When I fired up my Safari and opened CUPS, I was surprised to see that my changes in "Set Printer Options" (i.e. from "Monochrome" to "Color") were actually followed up by a confirmation screen in CUPS! And, the changes were kept! So, that was the problem; Camino does not work CUPS well.

I still have the issue of print jobs not automatically deleting from the spooler after they've been completed, but, that's probably another thread....
