Little problem with OKI C3450N

Hello,

I'm trying to get an OKI C3450N working properly under linux. With your driver,
it's almost there, but, sometimes, when the file sent seems too big (10 pages
pdf file) or for some other reason, the printer stops printing, goes offline
and says "error".

Could you help me please?

Please put the file on the web.

Acroread or some other program? Try acroread...

Thanks a lot for answering :)

I tried to print that file :
ftp://root.cern.ch/root/doc/13MathLibraries.pdf

I'll post asap configuration on the computer printing (gs version,
cups version and so on).

GS version :
GNU Ghostscript 7.07 (2003-05-17) (quite quite old)
foo2hiperc has been installed 3 or 4 days ago. I'll try to update
GS.

$ ll chap13-*
-rw-rw-r-- 1 rick rick 383439539 2008-05-29 04:52 chap13-color.hiperc
-rw-rw-r-- 1 rick rick  95860595 2008-05-29 04:49 chap13-mono.hiperc

$ hipercdecode -dxxx <chap13-color.hiperc
Looks fine 24 pages printed

Note: these are really big files (384 MB). Maybe your temp file space is running out?

Note: I don't have this printer (or any Oki printer).

It seems that the problem was solved with newer gs version. Anyway, now there's
a little problem with linux usb driver, not depending on this driver.

Thanks a lot for your help and your job :)

Would you like me to do a few tests? I mean maybe new things on C3450N...

Well, I tried using network, on 9100 port. That works but right after printing the
printer goes into an "unknown" mode. Apart from that, everything seems to be working
properly.

Btw, I had another problem with acroread version 8.1.2 : I wasn't able to change
the printer command. I had to go to "custom" in the printers list in order to
type and execute my printing command.
