2600n doesn't print on 64-bit laptop

I have a 2600n on my home network with 2 boxes. Both have suse 10.2. foo2hp was installed the same way on both. The printer web server is viewable from both.

Problem is the desktop (x86) prints fine, but the laptop with an AMD turion X86_64 will not. The list of jobs in cups all say "aborted" for print jobs from the laptop.

Does make install put any lib files on the system which maybe should be in a different directory for the x86_64 machine?

Further info.

/var/log/cups/error_log says that the foomatic-rip script stopped with status 22!

I have no clue what status 22! is.

Any help is appreciated.

Partial solution. I now have black printing from laptop. I had to symlink /usr/bin/foomatic-rip to /usr/lib/cups/filter. There was already one in /usr/lib64/cups/filter. Either foomatic or cups was looking in the 32-bit libs instead of the 64-bit.

No luck yet with color. Anybody know how the driver handles color differently from black only?
