How can I reorder the colors? CRD or ICC or ...?

I want to change the order that my colors print but have the colors come out correctly. This thread says they had out of order colors, but the ICC profiles link contained is broken.

I think the solution could be CRD, but I don't really know where to find the answer to Rick's question here. I am also not sure if it is what I need. Reading about ICC and CRD seems to make me go in a circle.

I also have the poor dithering mentioned here, but I don't know what the solution is.

You need gs 8.*:

Ghostscript 9.+ is broken with color prints!

Using the well tempered screens with 9.26 looks acceptable to me right now. The default is totally broken though.

What is broken with it? Do you mean that it won't accept an ICC file? I just can't find any specifics. Ghostscript claims to support color profiles.

My intent is that I want to physically swap the locations of the cartridges and then have it print correctly. This is something I have done easily with Gutenprint and an inkjet, but I don't know how go about doing the same with this laser printer.

So this icm is fed to icc2ps? I guess I need to look there. I want to keep the basic icm. Making changes to the CRD seems to make sense, but I don't really know. I also read that CRD is outdated. I don't think it is easy to manually edit the icm.

I guess the ZJS manual applies to everything. It says that color tweaking is still a work in progress so I don't know what to do here. It makes me think something could be injected here into the postscript file to control Ghostscript to make the changes I want.

I saw it mentioned that CRDs are covered in the Red Book so I am going to look at that.

Read:
    * CUSTOM ICC/ICM COLOR PRINTER PROFILE (BUY)
    * CUSTOM ICC/ICM COLOR PRINTER PROFILE (ARGYLL)
Because you are using gs 9.* instead of the recommended gs 8.* (/usr/bin/gs.foo from GHOSTSCRIPT BUGS), you will need to buy (google: "Custom Printer Profiles")
or make (using Argyll https://www.argyllcms.com/) your color profile.

Gs 8.* is at least 12 years old. Whatever the bug is, maybe there is a solution by now. All I can see is that it there is a bug.

I am going to see if I can find help elsewhere.
