P1006 + Debian Live CD

Trying to set up the HP1006 printer,using a Debian live cd that was set up in VB. Unable to download the printer file although it shows downloaded, shows extracted and shows list of extracted files. I can read some of them. All this happens while I am on the web site. When I close the browser, there is nothing in Debian in my VB regards the download and therefore I am unable to set up the printer.
I believe, and this is only a guess, it has to do with using a live CD, which I mentioned was set up in VB. Can the printer be set up using this live cd? Does anyone have any thoughts here?

Thanks

The problem is , I am unable to install as I am unable to download the file. Once again, I wonder if this works with a live Debian cd in VB. I suspect it can not be downloaded. Am I correct in that assumption?

Thank You.

No! Then you wouldn't do anything at all!

login as a non root user.
$ cd
$ wget -O foo2zjs.tar.gz http://foo2zjs.rkkda.com/foo2zjs.tar.gz
$ tar zxf foo2zjs.tar.gz
...etc...

login as a non root user.

$ wget -O foo2zjs.tar.gz http://foo2zjs.rkkda.com/foo2zjs.tar.gz
OK
$ tar zxf foo2zjs.tar.gz
OK
$cd foo2zjs
OK
$ dir -a
Files unpacked and in directory
And here it ends!
$ make
command not found

By instructions I take it you mean the install file. Perused it, but for me it was beyond my limited Linux experience. While I certainly understand the need to learn, I don't, at this time want, to reinvent the wheel. Only wanted to install my hp 1006 printer as quickly as possible. I will probably try again in the future.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
