P1006 make fails for 64-bit ubuntu [Did not read INSTALL file]

I'm stuck at the beginning. I've pasted the results when I try to make. [I'm running an AMD 64-bit motherboard and dual core processor and 64-bit Ubuntu, (Hardy Heron). Something doesn't seem to be compatible with 64 bits.]

Well, a friend of mine who has the same hardware that I do was able to compile and sent it to me in a zip file, which I was able to use to finish it. Now it works fine. I think I'll leave it alone now that it's working rather than going back. Thank you, though!

My friend suggested that I try it again anyway, but this time first run the command:

sudo apt-get build-dep foo2zjs

Sure enough, it installed some packages that I needed, but didn't have. When I did make after that I didn't have any problems.
