HP P1005 works but windows client stuck with processing status [solved, Windows]

Hi,

I am not sure this is the right forum since it seems to be a somewhat more general problem.
I have followed all steps and installed the driver on Fedora Core 8.
I can print from Linux and Windows clients.
The problem is after each windows print my windows printers shows status as processing and number of jobs as 1.
I can print again and each job prints fine but still job count shows as 1 and still status is stuck at 1.
Here is a url describing my problem but with FreeBSD :
http://unix.derkeiler.com/Mailing-Lists/FreeBSD/questions/2009-01/msg01916.html
I also have problem with /dev/usb/lp0 missing and the "usblp0 removed" message.

Use PostScript on the windows computers. Sorry, this is not relevant to foo2xqx.

You can get the Adobe Universal PostScript Windows Driver Installer here...

Hmm, I tried installing Adobe but it won't print at all.
The jobs just go nowhere.
I understand I need to setup Samba for these to work?
Anyway what about the second problem with usblp0 being removed?
Is it a problem?

See CUPS USB NOTES in INSTALL. URI should be:

usb://HP/LaserJet%20P1005

Don't use hp://<whatever> because that is for hplib (a closed source, proprietary driver).

Other than that, put it on a different USB controller or change the cables or put it on a POWERED hub.

rickrich, please forgive me I am an idiot :)
You were right that it was using a wrong driver.
When I changed the device uri and power cycled printer everything started working!
usblp0 stays and nothing gets stuck in the queue and thats with the original HP driver!
Again my apologies.
