Help for fine tuning

Hello,

Now that my LaserJet 1500 works on my Mac, I'd like to work on fine tuning.

Using the Testpage.ps, the 0.5 inch line is 1/16 inch from left of page and 1/32 inch from right of page. Top and bottom are OK.

Is there a way to "tune" that ?

Also, I got a hand on HP's .ICC file for the HP Color LaserJet 1500 (from HP's own driver). Could we get better colors using it ? The colors we have now are pretty good already.

Thanks !

Yves

testpage.ps is letter (8.5x11 inches) formatted. Is that what you want?
Not A4?

$ sudo cp hp-file.icm /usr/share/foo2hp/icm/testing.icm

Then select testing.icm from the Adjustments menu of CUPS

5100x6600 is right for 8.5 x 11 media printed at 600x600, less unprintable regions equals 4960x6400 (.1666 inch).
$ foo2oak-wrapper testpage.ps > xxx

$ lp -oraw xxx

$ oakdecode -d xxx xxx
...snip...

$ convert xxx-01-3-0.pbm xxx.png      #ImageMagick convert since preview won't display *.pbm files

$ open -a /Applications/Preview.app/ xxx.png
looks right to me
