I guess I have everything installed now and tryed the command
foomatic-rip -Plp -ppd /mnt/bootdev/router/pkg/usr/local/etc/foomatic/direct/Samsung-CLP-300.ppd ./tiger.pdf
but no print came out.
The log file in /tmp shows
