Multiple Page Printing

When printing multiple pages, only the first page will print. When looking at CUPS and the printer server information, it shows only 1 page has been sent.

If the end of the first page does not have a pagefeed type command, the printer will lock the rest of the print jobs requiring you to turn off the printer before continuing (can't cancel jobs). An example of this is printing long pages from inside FireFox. Pages printed from OOo terminate just fine, but will not print after the first page.

Just noticed this: Inside CUPS, the number of pages is showing as "Unknown" for completed print jobs.

Evince will print the first page, but holds the same properties as OOo. With the pagefeed command, the print job terminates properly, but does not continue past the first page.

Thanks again for your help.

Try this (nc ... < file):

2530page4win.prn

And this:

2530page4lava.prn

Four pages. Did one or both work?

First file 2530page4win.prn shows up as 4 pages in the print cue. All 4 pages print fine, but it's taking forever for nc to return control to the terminal (going on five minutes). The nc process did return ownership to the terminal after a bit. The 2530page4lava.prn only displayed 1 page in the printer cue. Only 1 page prints however nc does return control a little faster to the terminal.

The 2530page4lava.prn file is still only 1 page, in the que and on the print. This is after the redownload, make, make install and readded printer que. The other page 2530page4win.prn shows the correct number of pages, and prints correct as well.

Tested the win & the lava... there is no change with win, the lava version still prints only one page.

All three of these files show up correctly on the que as having 4 pages to print. Waiting on the output and return. Each test came out fine, all of them four pages each. The control return is the same as previous, but I believe this is to be expected.
