I already posted a reply: i noticed i was making a mistake in following the instruction (the error you just posted up here), so this thread is not shedding any new info on this printer. Maybe it could be deleted :)

Did you do:

$ make
$ ./getweb P1005         # Important!!!
$ su
# make install
# make install-hotplug   # Important!!!

???

Hi, I am using debian sid
I followed the instruction in the install closely but the printer won't print: it gets viewed by the system and the drivers show up in the cups configuration webpage, but it won't print anything. The jobs get processed but nothing gets printed on the page.
Any idea what could cause this problem?
