I have no technical insight to this. I have however managed to print grayscale even tho I have told the printer to print colors.

However, I submit a two page text file by lp and I get two pages the first blank, the second has the second page of text. I turned on banners in CUPS and now I get the banner, a blank page and the second page of text.

Any ideas?
